Prologue

My name is Tyltra but my friends all me Trish. I am the daughter and first born child of the Avalarian heroes: Spyro and Elora. My role is this world is to be second-in-command for the New Council and help save the Ripple Realm.

The RR is what we kids of the New Council call the connection of the realms. When my father was a teenager, he discovered that three main realms were all linked at a central point. These realms were Avalar, The Glade of Dreams, and Earth. At those central points, the realms seem to ripple into each other which allowed safe travel between them. This was a great help to my father when he formed the Council of the Twin Lights, letting all the members jump between the realms to save people. Though, unfortunately someone else also noticed its use and used it to their advantage. That person was Nina, Cortex’s evil niece.

The scientific witch teamed up with Jack Spicer, another human from Earth, and constructed an army of mutants and machines. Nina used these symbols of horror to overthrow her uncle and crush his alliance with Razorbeard and the TriSpell. The Trispell was a group formed from Ripto, the Sorceress, and the Sorcerer (enemies of my father). Nina enslaved those three, disassembled Razorbeard but kept him alive in pieces to mock him, and forced her uncle into hiding like the coward he is.

She did this seven years ago, starting a war that would throw our homelands into ruination. She attacked the Council on the anniversary of the founding. Their base of Autumn Plains castle was destroyed and our parents were taken by surprise. They used all their strength to fight back, fending her off for two years as we grew. But Nina and Jack had spent years creatin’ an army of mechanical mutants, their numbers so vast that they soon destroyed the Department of Dimensional Defense and overtook our parents.

They were all so tired from fighting monsters day in and say out. They had not fight left in them. In a last act of defiance, the Council hid us kids away in a magical forest where Nina could never find us and then went out to fight one last battle. Our parents proved too hard to kill, Nina and Jack made a last ditch effort to stop them. They froze them in stasis and scattered them far from each other across the Ripple Realm. With that being done, Nina and Jack were left unchallenged to take over the realms.

That is, until now.

Cowerin’ and crying in our wooded haven, we waited pathetically. Our lack of fight ate at the nerves of one of our own. One day, out of the blue, Rav stood up and yelled at the rest of us.

He called us cowards and told us to buck up. But what else would be expected of him, he is the son of a great warrior after all. Turns out he was the wakeup call we all needed. You see, we all got powers from our parents’ genetics, giving us the key to taking our home back. We only needed the push from Rav to set us on the right path.

After a massive pep talk, Rav told us that we should use our powers to help ourselves and others. He gathered us close and grinned under that high collar of his. He offered his hand out to us, telling us from that moment he was forming a group called the New Council and he was callin’ us out to be its members. We all saw no choice but to become our parents’ legacy.

For years we trained in that wooded land. Now, we’re ready, and we’re comin’ for Nina’s head. We ain’t gonna stop until we either get it or take back our homes.
